Lesson 2

Name two primary differences between Mergeable Shapes and Drawing Objects.

Mergable shapes merge together when drawing objects separate the selection/stroke

Which tool would you choose to manipulate individual points that make up a shape or path?

I would use the selection tool
What three advantages does isolating artwork on a layer offer?

It makes it so that it can be changes without merging together and the artist doesn't have to worry about that mistake.

Making a Comic

I have just started working on a web-comic that I hope I can get all worked out and ave enough time to update frequently (once a week or every two weeks) If I don't have enough time on my laptop with school and whatnot, I will end up hand drawing and coloring every panel. Here is a short intro:

Bot Tundra is a college student at Pera University (P.U.) on the planet Elezic. Elezic was discovered in 3002 and was colonized in 3034. In this time education is a hard process in the year 3090. It takes a long time and almost everyone graduates around the age 25. Since people are living longer and have enough genetic mutations to overcome some of the largest sicknesses.
Bot Tundra is in his first year of college at the age of 20 like most students. He ran into a man named Scott Meekly who was very friendly and later became his roommate in Pera. For Bot it will be difficult to live with such a man almost opposite of him. But that's what makes them the best of friends. Or maybe more?

Deer Horns (My progress)

So guy I am progress for making these horns just for fun. Can be for any purpose and i hope they rock. I have been working on how to get the texture and if i succeed I will post a picture tutorial.
So I have used so far

  • Wire hanger (Base)
  • Scissors and pliers (be careful not to ruin the scissors cutting the hanger, using a more strong, heavy pair of clippers)
  • News paper and/or old magazines (to wrap around the base)
  • Regular duct tape or Masking tape (Painters Tape works best) -if you are not familiar on types of tape, go here
  • Paper mache is probably how to make the texture really work. I am working on such a step after i finish doing all my regular basing. Go here to see how to paper mache and directions. ((Highly recommend using white paper, not newspaper. Do the paper mache over the tape.
  • Brown/ White paint to finish off the horns.
This also works with almost any type of horns, and not to mention it is actually very light. Just be careful not to squish them and this works alot better than model magic because that just falls apart and is far more breakable without a decent base. I am going to attach these to a headband using hot glue.
This probably includes homestuck horns and so on.

I will update this about next week.
